EXPLORING THE INTERSECTION OF GENDER ROLES AND LANGUAGE EDUCATION IN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract


This paper examines the profound impact of gender roles and language education on national development, with a specific focus on their social, economic, educational, political, and religious dimensions. The analysis highlights how social constructs surrounding gender roles, driven by prejudice and bias, have historically shaped societal expectations and limited opportunities, leading to significant costs in lost productivity and overall quality of life. Additionally, the role of language education in fostering sustainable national development is critically assessed. The paper concludes with a call for a collaborative effort between men and women to dismantle traditional gender roles and stereotypes, close the gender gap, and promote sustainable national development through effective language education.
